Representative Michele Bachmann Spreads Ugly Hatred

Saturday, October 18, 2008 Steve and Warren 1 comment

-Hello and good morning everyone.  Welcome to our blog…we’re glad you stopped by on this Saturday morning.

-First off, out in the back yard this morning we have a cold 28 degrees with frost on the roofs of homes around our area.  It’s cold out there.

Color weather radar indicates clear conditions across all of Minnesota at this hour.

Looking ahead at today’s weather forecast … here is how our day is going to shape up: Increasing clouds. Highs 52 to 57. Southwest winds around 5 mph increasing to south 10 to 15 mph in the late morning and afternoon.

-Yesterday was a busy one for me, as I drove one of the cars into the big city and went to the Ford dealership for an 8:00 a.m. oil change.  While I was there I had them look at the steering on the car … because the steering wheel lately seemed to be “pulsating” when the car would start off from a stop.

Turns out the left front passenger tire – had a bulge in the tire, which was causing the tire to be off balance – subsequently causing the “pulsating” in the steering wheel.

After leaving the Ford dealership, I drove over to Sam’s Club west of the Target Store and purchased four new tires for the car.  They were B. F. Goodrich, the touring edition.  Total cost, installed and removing the old tires … about $363.00, which was about $30.00 cheaper than the Ford dealership.

So all in all … it was a $400.00 morning.

I then managed to get over to Steve’s office, and the two of us went out for lunch to Sammy Pizza – where we ate of all things – the pizza buffet.

All I can tell you is this … when Steve and I left the Sammy’s Pizza – our vow was simply and easy – No More Food!  We were totally stuffed, beyond what we should have been.

-I don’t know about you – but this Saturday morning I’m embarassed to be a citizen of Minnesota – if this is what we Minnesotan’s have elected to represent us in the United States Congress.

Representative. Michelle Bachmann was just on MSNBC’s program “Hardball” program yesterday afternoon with Chris Matthews – channeling Sarah Palin.

Representative Bachmann was going on and on and ranting, just ranting like a foolish female extremest maniac, about United States Senator Barck Obama — and just accusing him of being un-American because of his associations.  Needless to say, it was embarassing.

Representative Bachmann just completely oozed hatred for Obama. But the end of the interview was just stunning. Chris Matthews challenged her to name members of Congress who are un-American.

Watch her:

Barack Obama is anti-American! Nancy Pelosi! Harry Reird! All liberal anti-Americans and yet they are RUNNING AMERICA. Not good! Not a good situation at all. Around 4:30 p.m. in this seven-minute clip is when she suggests the media perform a Witch Hunt to determine which members of Congress are “pro-America” and “anti-America.”

My friends … Representative Michele Bachmann is a disgrace to the United States Congress and to the citizens of the great State of MInnesota and should be recalled and lose her job in congress.  I have never in all my life seem such hatred from the mouth of an individual.  Let me tell you … this is “dangerous talk” and it is talk that can and could divide the electorate of this nation and cause serious division in our American society.

This was one of the most disturbing hate-mongering things I’ve ever seen on television.  Even Chris Matthews seemed very stunned by her diatribe of hatred.

This is the same silly mined Bachmann that hid in the bushes and spied on a pro-gay rally at the Capitol in St. Paul, Minnesota back in April of 2005.

What on earth is wrong with you voters in the 6th District of the State of Minnesota?

As I think more about it – Representative Michele Bachmann should step down from her office!

-While I was home yesterday, I watched the Ellen Show … and Senator Joe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential nominee appeared on Ellen and openly opposed California’s Proposition 8, a constitutional ban on gay marriage ban.

Obama and Biden also back the Uniting American Families Act (which would allow sponsorship of a same-sex spouse for immigration into the United States), the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

-I’ve been sharing each day this month … as we look back in history about GLBT history month … and here are the events that surround this date in history:

October  18

October 18, 1907 – 2,000 people attended a debate on the repeal of Paragraph 175, Germany’s sodomy law.

October 18, 1977 – Citizens United to Protect Our Children, an organization in Portland OR, announced they had failed to get enough signatures to get a recall election of Mayor Neil Goldschmidt after he declared Portland Gay Pride Day.

October 18, 1990 – Former Supreme Court justice Lewis Powell declared that he believed he made a mistake by voting to uphold Georgia’s sodomy laws in the 1986 Bowers v Hardwick case.

October 18, 1990 – Three white supremacists were convicted of conspiring to blow up a gay bar in Boise, Idaho.

October 18, 1991 – Admiral Frank B Kelso, chief of naval operations, announced that the explosion of the USS Iowa which killed forty-seven men had been proven not to have been caused by a wrongful intentional act and apologized to the family of Clayton Hartwig. Hartwig had been accused of intentionally causing the blast as an act of suicide following the break up of a homosexual affair. (It was not proven that he was homosexual.)

-Around mid morning … when Steve wakes up and we both have our showers, we’re going to head into the big city and do a little bit of shopping, and of course catch a movie.  Movies have become a “Saturday tradition” with Steve and I.  Movies are just a good way to escape the realities of real life … and sit back and enjoy a trip to where ever via a movie.

-On that note – I’m going to raid the kitchen and see what I can find for my breakfast. After that I’m going to go take a nice long hot shower to wake up completely. Steve will be up around 8:30 a.m. or so – as he sleeps in just a little longer on this Saturday morning.

-We both wish you a great Saturday … get out and enjoy the day – do something fun. As for Steve and I – we are just going to relax after a stressful week. How about you? What are your Saturday plans?

-Until next time…
