Can’t Get Enough

-They call it “need”, or “want”, or just plain “I just can’t get enough”…

-It’s Sunday … the Sunday before election day here in Minnesota and around the nation.

-Out in our back yard it is cloudy this morning and 39 degrees. Color weather radar indicates some areas of light rain across the eastern half of Minnesota at this hour.

The national weather service forecast for our part of Minnesota and the back yard is:

Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain showers in the morning…then a slight chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Highs 45 to 50. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of showers 40 percent.

There is still at 60% chance that it won’t rain … so we will keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

-Yesterday we were in the big city … Steve got an oil change for his car and then got his new radio/cd player installed at Best Buy. You should see that thing…Pioneer…fancy, awesome and it sounds sooooo good! Congrats pal on geting it installed and it sounds great!

By 12:40 p.m. we were on our way to the Hermantown Marcus Theater to watch (1) Saw V and (2) Zack and Miri.

Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

and I, on the other hand not really liking those kind of movies went to see … Zack and Miri

Two lifelong platonic friends, strapped for cash and in debt, decide to make a porno.

These two films were at opposite ends of the spectrum for types of entertainment – but we both enjoyed our respective films and walked away happy.

Based on Yahoo users ratings … Saw V was rated a “B” and Zack and Mir was rated a “B+”.

We met after the movies in the lobby of the theater and then headed to Walmart to buy some groceries and afterwards – it was time for supper. We hadn’t eaten much all day so it was off to Old Chicago for our supper.

At Old Chicago we split a medium pizza … 1/2 and 1/2 toppings with a Pepsi to drink. Once finished there we were on our way to the house to unpack all our groceries and put things away.

-By 6:30 p.m. or there abouts we were watching the Boston Celtics get their butts beat by the Pacers. Pacers president Larry Bird brought in seven new players in the offseason to improve the team’s talent level and overhaul its image after numerous off-the-court incidents the past several years.

The payoff was immediate.

Final score was 95 to 79 in the Pacers home opener! Disgusting Boston!

-Steve and I were driving home yesterday … and for some strange reason the question of whether or not gay men just needed sex, sex and more sex came up – by me. I wondered if there were gay men, who like some straight heterosexual women – just can’t get enough of one on one male for male sex?

In my life I’ve heard of these women, who had to have sex two and three times a day – and it just made me curious if there were gay men that we the same way.

But then, as we briefly talked about it – I think we both conceded that it was a possibility. Steve said to me, “I could have sex every day.” Then I asked him, “Aren’t you getting enough, with me?”

He answer was “yes” … but he said he could have it every day. I said, well – I guess that’s true of me – but, I’m not compelled by some mental and physical need – that says I just have to suck Steve’s penis or have anal sex with him “daily”.  I love Steve dearly and I’d have sex with him any time he wants it – but the reality of it is that we don’t have sex several times every day.  We both become entangled in our daily lives, work, play, etc., and sometimes we’re both just “pooped” and to tired to pop!

I think in that respect – we are probably like most gay couples … you go along and you have sex, and then it happens again in a few days, or a week or when ever you need of it – out of love for one another.

Steve and I hug a lot every day … when he leaves home, when he comes homes, when we meet in the hallway, or while I’m cooking Steve will come up from behind me and give me a big hug – so many times this fondness and embrace doesn’t take the place of physical sex – but it does allow for the need we both have to be intimate and close to one another.

So how about you … are you the kind of a guy who needs sex every time you turn around? How often do you have sex with your partner or boy friend or male companion?

-Today is football day around here again, as Steve and I pick the teams that we think are going to win in the NFL today.  It’s part of Steve’s family’s Sunday football picks tradition … that’s been going on for … I don’t how many years.

Steve is in first place, followed by … ?  HIs sister keeps the stats, but I’m not sure who is in second place or fifth place or any place since I have not seen tally sheet for two weeks.    His sister has been busy as she was laid off of her job and now has to commute into Minneapolis and St. Paul every day for work.

I’m sure with the new job, travel, etc., she just has not had an opportunity to keep up the stats.

But then with the NFL … who the heck knows who is going to win by the end of the season?  I don’t know.  Steve and I will make our picks and email them to his sister – sit back and see where the games go today.

-Finally this morning … it could only happen in Duluth, Minnesota – this truck…just an average truck – but if you look carefully at the box on the truck – it says, “Duluth Superior Erection Inc” – what more could a gay guy ask for?

-Well I am thinking when my current subscription to the Duluth News Tribune runs out – I’m going to cancel their daily rag!

Today, in their political endorsement page – they’ve endorse John McCain for President of the United States.  I’m not even going to bother to put a link in for that endorsement.

In their final lines of the endorsement – we find these words:

Come January, when this never-ending election season finally and mercifully has become a memory, isn’t that who you want placing his hand on the Bible?

My answer is no I would not.  Simply because John McCain can’t even keep true to the moral standard he and his followers have set for themselves.  It’s a small sentence but a powerful sentence in the Book of Exodus and again in the Book of Deuteronomy – called the 9th Commandment, and it goes like this:

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. (neighbour or neighbor means “everyone” Barck Obama included

Mr. McCain your a hypocrite and you want to be President?

-Well guys, I’m going to finish up the bowl of “Special K” that I started eating a while ago … Steve will be up in about two and a half hours from now, around 8:30 or 8:45 a.m.
