We Will Not Give Up

-It is Thursday … good morning.

-Out in our back yard this morning, it is cloudy and 52 degrees.  Color weather radar shows a large area of rain across most of Minnesota this morning – and our neighbors to the west – North Dakota, have a mixture of snow and sleet this morning.

It’s not looking to good for today’s weather.

-Thursday’s forecast for our back yard is:

Breezy. Rain and isolated thunderstorms. Highs 52 to 57. East winds 10 to 15 mph early…increasing 15 to 25 mph.

Not exactly the best of conditions – at least for today.

-The elections are over – Obama won, gay marriage rights lost…

Gay-rights advocates went to court Wednesday to press for same-sex marriages a day after California voters dealt them a stunning setback by approving a ban on such unions.

The constitutional amendment approved Tuesday will limit marriage to heterosexual couples, the first time such a vote has taken place in a state where gay unions are legal.

Proposition 8 overturns a state Supreme Court decision in May that gave gay couples the right to wed and creates uncertainty about the legal status of 18,000 same-sex couples who have tied the knot since then.

It is as simple as that – but I’ll only say today – we can not give up in this country. We do have rights, the constitution does not limit gay men – we are not done, we shall not give up, we won’t turn our backs – united we stand divided we fall.

We will not fall.

-Yesterday was a trip to my doctor for a minimal physical.  Blood pressure, listen to my heart, blood profile work up, general health discussion and renewal of my “meds”.

Dr. Shawn is just the greatest guy.  He’s in his early 40’s and he just has the best humor and the best attitude.  I have always liked his bed side manner – concerned but not boring, silly but not giddy, serious but not over bearing.

Finaly analysis … I’m in good health – and so I reported the same to Steve via email when I got home yesterday around 10:30 a.m.  You know it’s good to get yourself checked out every year or there abouts.  I have been, for the past ten years getting a physical every December or there abouts.

It’s refreshing to know that, except for getting older – I’m doing ok for my age.  :-)   Steve was happy, as he wrote back to me … and now, we’ve both had physicals – which is good.

-Things that make you happy:

  • Taking a hot bath
  • Windy weather
  • Exercise, followed by a hot shower and then bed
  • Chipmunks
  • A really good hair day
  • A good dish of spaghetti
  • Everything that God made
  • Freshly laundered sheets on your bed
  • Coffee in bed served by a naked man
  • Taking a long whiz
  • The smell of baking cookies
  • Listening to your favorite music
  • Notes on your car
  • Real mail
  • Hanging out with your partner, the man you love
  • Swedish meatballs
  • Peace and quiet

-Tomorrow after Steve gets off work – we will drive to south central western Minnesota – to Steve’s home town, where we will spend the weekend with his family.

It’s always nice to be able to see his mom, dad, sisters, brothers-in-law, and nephews …. they are a great family … and from day one, they’ve always made me feel at home.

It’s nice to be accepted – and not rejected.

-Do you like bananas?  Well apparently this guy would love to deep throat a cock!

Gosh, reminds me of me and Steve’s banana – yep, you guessed it – I’ve always loved Steve’s banana!

-Have you stopped by Steve’s blog yet?  Well, if you haven’t and if your a movie buff as he is – you’ll enjoy his frequent writings about his favorite movies and movie releases.

Steve’s blog is titled Steve On Sinema – and I think it’s going to be a great read – as he writes into the future.

Great job pal… :-)

-Things we’ve read…

  • Approximately one-third of the population can’t snap their fingers!
  • There is a city called Rome on every continent.
  • On average, a disposable diaper can hold up to 7 pounds of liquid.
  • The Nobel Peace Prize medal depicts 3 naked men with their hands on each others shoulders. (You gotta love those naked men) -)
  • Pittsburgh is the only city where all major sports teams have the same colors: Black and gold.

-On that note guys, it is about that time of the morning when I am going to look for some breakfast, then after Steve gets out of the shower – it’s my turn to shower and get ready for the day.

Steve … will be up in a few more minutes, and together we’re embarking on another great day of life … home for me and a work day for Steve.

Have a nice Thursday, where ever it is that you live. Enjoy, smile, be happy and most of all be good. We certainly will – because we are together always in love. ;-)

-Until next time…
