-Good morning everyone … we’re back home! :-)

-Out in our back yard this morning it is cloudy and 25 degrees … color weather radar is showing clear conditions all over the upper midwest this morning – and not a trace of moisture, rain or snow.

-Today’s northland weather forecast is:

Decreasing clouds. Highs 30 to 35. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

-Once again, in order to protect the integrity of our blog, from time to time we are going to post secure posts and photograhs that will be password protected. I’m only going to write this one time for our regular readers, but the passwood for these posts will be the last word in this sentence.

So remember that password, and you’ll have no problem following our posts from here on out. Just simply type in the new password to access those posts when they are made available, and type it in the same case as you see it listed here. It’s only going to be posted once.

Thanks guys. :-)

-We left about 5:15 p.m. on Friday night and drove to Steve’s home town, where we stayed at his sister’s home.  It was a long, black, wet night for the three hour and forty five minute drive.  I drove – which was a challenge to me, since I don’t care to drive at night now – as much as I did twenty or thiry years ago.

But, thank the good Lord – we did make it safely to Steve’s home town.

We did spend some time visiting with his one sister and brother in law – before we turned in for the night.  Nothing life a little pre sleep sex to make us sleep like two babies. ;-)

Saturday we visited for a bit and then took off to Alexandria, Minnesota – where we spent the balance of the afternoon going to a movie, walking around the mall – and having a delicious supper meal at D Michael B’s Restaurant.

Sunday was spent pretty much driving from the Alexandria area up to the Detroit Lakes area and then back to Duluth – where we picked up a relative of mine who is visiting for the week.

Our journey saw lots of deer hunters along the roadways … some with and some without deer kill.  Certainly, not a sport that I nor Steve partake in at all.

I used to hunt when I was a young boy with my dad – but soon gave that up – realizing I really didn’t want to kill a poor innocent deer – anyway.

-10,000 rally in San Diego …

Thousands of took to the streets Saturday in San Diego, California to protest passage of Proposition 8, a California measure banning gay marriage.

Police reports say approximately 10,000 demonstrators began marching through central San Diego at noon. The protest lasted about 90 minutes and no arrests were made.

Yesterday’s was the largest of several marches that have followed Tuesday’s approval of Proposition 8.

About 5,000 people turned out Saturday evening for a Prop. 8 protest in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. Also a candlelight vigil took place in Laguna Beach.

Tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters are in the streets in California and Salt Lake City and around the country protesting the votes banning same-sex marriage in California.

Join them! Make your voices heard right there in New York City.

Let your voice be heard … Stop them from taking away your rights!

-In your travels around the net today or this week – don’t forget to stop at my partner Steve’s new movie blog .. entitled Steve On Sinema.

My partner, Steve – started the new blog last week and published his first post. The blog is titled “Steve on Sinema” and will be about Steve’s second love:

This blog will take you on a journey with Steve while taking a look at some of the “sinema” that he enjoys most.  As you will learn from this blog over the days, weeks and months ahead, he is a huge movie buff and spends a lot of his free time watching from his collection of over 1,000 DVDs and counting.  Steve enjoys movies from all genres, but has a particular liking to Suspense/Horror flicks, and movies from the 80’s.

So as his blog unfolds, I hope that you would take a journey on over to read it and learn of his interests in movies.

-Even though in Steve’s family football weekend picks – I chose Green Bay – how about those Vikings.

Adrian Peterson kept chugging until he’d rushed for 192 yards and a late, winning touchdown. Jared Allen made a big impact despite a serious injury, and the Vikings made it back to the top of the division.

Final score, Vikings 28 Green Bay 27.  Great game!

-Steve returns to work today … I on the other hand will spend part of my day with our company from western Minnesota.

Later this week, on Thursday we head to Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Part of this upcoming weekend, Steve will be attending a horror convention … at the Radisson in Roseville, MN.  The convention is actually November 14, 15 and 16th.

While Steve is busy doing that … I’ll be shopping around in the Roseville Mall … maybe going to a movie and just killing some time.  I’m not a big fan of horror – at all. :-)

-Barack Obama has never set foot in the Oval Office…but today he will.

Talk about making an entrance.

In a sit-down discussion Monday with President Bush, the president-elect will get his first feel for the place where momentous decisions will soon fall to him.

-Things we’ve read…

  • 2,500 newborn babies will be dropped in the next month.
  • The first patented condom was meant to be reused!
  • A watermelon is a vegetable not a fruit.
  • One in 500 humans has one blue eye and one brown eye.
  • In Colombia, one can be fined up to $90,000 for gossiping!

-Well guys…time to head on out to the kitchen for some breakfast. Steve is up and out of bed now at 6:00 a.m. for this Monday morning. Steve will be showering and getting ready for work – and I’m off to the shower after he is done, to wash my bod!

Have a great Monday! We’ll see you back here again tomorrow morning – until then be kind and be good.

-Until next time…
