Steve Works His Second Job Today

-It’s Sunday, the first Sunday of the new month of June, 2009.  Good morning … we are waking up to rainy and cloudy conditions here in the northland.

-Out in our back yard this morning, we have 43 cold wet degrees.  Color weather radar shows rain over our area of the state this morning.

Today’s north land weather forecast is for: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers and areas of drizzle in the morning…then partly sunny in the afternoon. Highs 48 to 53. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Basically stated … cold, windy and wet for today.

-Steve and I took in a movie yesterday, and did a bit of shopping but that was about it.  The movie we saw was “The Hangover”.

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they’ll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can’t remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can’t find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

It was pretty funny and kept both of laughing for 96 minutes … I’d rate this movie at a B+.

-As much as I did not like the idea of “Facebook” pages for the two of us … the primary reason is Steve or I being “exposed on the net” to people in our past whom I did not want to see and whom he does not want to see ~ but as we’ve looking into “Facebook”, you can pretty much protect your privacy from those whom you may not want to know again or those who you’ve decided you want to know again … so we have now both officially launched “Facebook” pages with our friends and family members.

FYI – because we live in a small community immediately next to the “big city” we are not out … although I am sure many people suspect we are “gay” many also look at us at (1) friends and (2) a father and son combination.

That works for us … so, in our “Facebook” pages Steve’s family and my family of relatives have no clue that we are a gay couple.

That also works for us!

-Steve works his second job today and will be leaving home here in about 20 minutes or so. He’ll be back home around 3:15 p.m. today … another boring day alone … especially when it rains and your stuck inside the house.

Ah, such is life.

-Besides the movie yesterday, we did go to Walmart to buy some grocery items and other things … plus we made a stop at Menards, as I was looking for a timer – which incidentally was twice the price at Walmart and a much better buy at Menards.

-This is my first day of the new “diet” routine … where I’ll actually on Tuesday be getting my “Nutrisystems” food box with all the goodies I’m going to be eating for the next 28 days.  I plan on dropping a few pounds over the summer, and Steve and I figure this is the best and healthiest way for me to do it.

So, wish me good luck.

-On that note, I’m going to find some breakfast – Steve on the other hand is getting dressed right now and will come out to the living room and check his email and so forth … and then head off to his second job for the day.
