-It’s thick …

-Oh by the way, I just had my Nutrisystems breakfast which was: (1) 8 ounces of water, (2) 8 ounces of skim milk, (3) 1/2 of a fresh banana, and (4) 2 Nutrisystem blue berry muffins. When I opened the container the aroma of blueberries was awesome.

Taste? Really pretty good. :-)

After I have my morning shower and get ready for the day, I’m off for a 1.2 mile hike.

Big Meeting Day

-Good morning, it is Thursday.  Already the 11th of June, and my gosh the month in just a few days will be half over.  Where is the summer going?

-Out in our back yard this morning we have partly sunny skies and 43 degrees.  Today’s northland weather forecast is: Partly sunny. Scattered sprinkles early in the morning. Highs 63 to 68. North winds 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Color weather radar at this hour shows very light amounts of rain over central and southern Minnesota – but it appears that most of that is just light fog and it is disappearing.

-Steve’s softball team lost last night … with just minutes to go – they got snuffed.

At this hour Steve is still sound asleep at this hour and will be getting up in about one half hour from now.

Today he has his big “company meeting” at 9:00 a.m.  Steve is not sure what his boss and company owner is going to tell the employees.  Business is running at about fifty percent of what it was last year at this time – and things are busy but not what they should be.  Steve is hoping that if there are any cut backs that he won’t be losing his job or perhaps things will continue on with cuts being made in other offices within the company.

I, on the other hand will be anxioiusly waiting for a phone call or email from Steve – to see what direction the company will be taking.  This could be a do or die situation – and with Steve’s boss – who knows.

In my opinion, the guy is nice – but he’s kind of flakey in his own way.  He’s the ower, and he rarely ever works in the office – but from time to time he makes some real hair brain decisions – which to this writer make absolutely no sense at all.

Every ship needs a captain, every train needs and engineer, and every plane needs a pilot – but this owner and boss that Steve has barely ever comes in or even knows how to run his ship.

Granted he has a good office manager in Steve – but to me, it is still incumbent on the owner to run the operations and know what the heck is going on.

Steve’s boss is a reactionary – and I’m not sure that is the healthiest for any company.  So today is the “big meeting day”.

-Steve not only works his primary job today, but then about 4:45 p.m. he gets done with that job and heads to his secondary job – which starts at 5:00 p.m.  He’ll be back home about 12:30 a.m. tomorrow morning from that job and will more than likely sleep in tomorrow (Friday) his day off til 9:00 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. – some where in that area.

-Day 1 is today – and I start my new “Nutrisystems” diet today.  Four servings … breakfast, lunch, dinner and a dessert meal – along with morning snack and afternoon snack – all meals/snacks are spaced about three hours apart plus drinking eight 8 ounce glasses of water – on the even hour from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or every two hours a day.

If I’m not full from all that – well, I’ll never be full at all.

-I just got done taking the garbage and recycling out for the week – today is pickup day here at our home.  Steve is now up and out of bed and in the bathroom.  I just spoke with him – and he is basically in a “fog”, as he is extremely tired and exhausted.

I am sure this is true and will be – until he is able to get back to normal with his employment situation and does not have softball two nights a week.  When he was 25 or there abouts and we first met – he had ten less years under his belt and could burn the candle at both ends – but even at 36 now, it isn’t as easy to do all the things you once did.

Heck, I’m finding that out at 62 1/2 years of age – I’m not the kid I used to be.

-I found this to be interesting … that most people aren’t nearly as witty, smart or creative as they’d like to think which is why this is just a little less than shocking.

According to a recent study by a search engine called Technorati, only 7.4 MILLION of the 133 MILLION blogs the company tracks have been updated in the last 120 days.

In other words, 95% of all online blogs have basically been abandoned.  I know checking my list almost daily – there are a couple guys over there —–> who have not updated their blogs for quite some time.

I hesitate to take their names off our blog roll – but then again if they are not writing anything – what is the sense of keeping old news?

Example – I just tried to click on “The Jay Agenda” and as of now – the web domain has disappeared.  It might be down, or it may have been removed.  Gosh, that is crazy, as it was just there a few days ago.

-Well, it’s time to get my first 8 ounce glass of water, my Nutrisystem breakfast entree, my diary or protein serving and fruit serving and have my breakfast.  No more waffles or scrambled eggs or other non healthy foods for this guy.

The weather is looking pretty good around the nation except for Ohio and Kentucky today, where you’ll have some rain – and as for the rest of you – have a great Thursday – enjoy – get out side and get some sunshine.

Steve and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow morning about this same time.

Enjoy your day!
