Time To Get Up
-Good morning … it is Sunday, the 14th of June, 2009.
-Out in our back yard this morning we have sunny skies and 54 degrees. Skies are clear – looking so far, like a nice day.
Today’s northland forecast is for: Mostly sunny. Highs 68 to 73. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the late morning and afternoon.
Color weather radar shows mostly clear skies over Minnesota this morning.
-Yesterday, Steve and I were in the big city … we didn’t really do very much – but we did go to see the movie “The Taking of Pelham 123″ this afternoon. It stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. It was a pretty good movie all in all, and I think it kept both of us interested throughout.
I rate it C+, all in all.
-After the movie we hit our friendlly “Walmart” store for some groceries and other items that we needed and then we both headed back home – where we just relaxed for the evening.
-Steve is up and in the shower at this hour – getting ready to leave for his second job, which he starts today at 7:30 a.m. He will be back home here … oh about 3:00 p.m. or so.
This afternoon when he returns, we have to give each other hair cuts and shave those necesssary areas of the body.
-One of the favorite performers of many guys, Usher, has reportedly filed for a divorce from his wife.
I’m sure know if she’s not taking care of him, one of you guys sure would be willing to do that!
-Two up and coming events:
- Next Sunday is Father’s Day … don’t forget your dad.
- Grandmas’ Marathon here in the northland – where just about 10,000 semi naked young guys come to run 26.2 miles annually. This will be the 33rd year that the race has been held. Steve and I won’t be attending this year – as we will be in Minneapolis and St. Paul this coming Friday and Saturday – returning home Saturday evening.
- The International Gay & Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) will open the 2009 Gay Soccer World Championship (www.iglfa2009.org) in the Washington D.C. area on this Sunday morning June 14, 2009.
-Time for some breakfast and then shower and clean up so I can head out for my hike / walk just a bit later on this morning. Steve will be heading off to work shortly.
We want to wish you all a great Sunday and want to let you know that we will be back here bright and early tomorrow morning – Monday.
Have a great day.
